Very nice issue of the Japanese graphic magazine Idea. This one is devoted to the history of graphics in video games. Through three major Japanese publishers (Bandai Namco, Capcom, Sega) the authors reproduce the logos of many games that have marked this area: Pac-Man (1980), Tekken (1995), Street Fighter (1987), Virtua Racing (1992) , Sonic (1991)… to name only the known folds. The book focuses on graphics and the world of gaming (including photographs of arcade games that we found in gaming rooms). The second part of this book moves away from video games by retracing another history of graphics at the end of the 70s with the Punk / New Wave wave and in particular the French group Bazooka, reviews such as Slash, Wet, The Picture Newspaper , Facade… Valuable documentation.
