Very rare first edition of the book by the Swiss artist Manon. Born in 1940, Rosmarie Küng (her real name) opens a shop in the old town of Zürich where she sells her own creations and in particular jackets in the Glitter style. Occasionally a model for magazines, Manon began to take photographs in 1974, influenced by avant-garde circles. She meets many artists (Sigmar Polke, Jürgen Klauke, Luciano Castelli, Markus Räetz, Walter Pfeiffer…). She became known in particular for her installation “The Salmon couloured boudoir” (work reconstructed in 2009 in New York at the Swiss Institute Contemporary Art. This book, which contains only black and white photographs, is a subtle blend of art, fashion, encounters, and a femininity specific to the 70s. A real gem.
