New York in its craziest decor and atmosphere, at the end of the 1970s. In this book, Miron Zownir brings together hundreds of photographs: prostitution, gay circles, homeless people wandering in the shade of buildings, drug addicts, police officers, lost, revelers, anonymous in the crowd, Zownir offers a particularly raw testimony of a disappeared and oppressive New York, of a truly Babylonian city and left behind, totally bankrupt. An extraordinary testimony which also recalls that of the photographer Nagasaki and his Zoo York published in 1993.
