More a theoretician than a “rock” journalist, an important figure in the Parisian milieu of the 1970s, noted in particular for his articles and chronicles in Le Parapluie and Rock & Folk, Yves Adrien wrote his most important book in 1979 : NovoVision. Both a diary, an account of evenings between Paris, New York and London, a catalog of the most original musical groups of its time (Joy Division, The Cure, Lydia Lunch, Cabaret Voltaire…), NovoVision has influenced by the following many authors and journalist by ennobling (or intellectualizing) in a way musical criticism.
