Friend of Boston School member Nan Goldin, David Armstrong opens here his intimate archives from the late 1970s, in bustling New York. Through these pages, we find both the atmosphere of this time and the work of Armstrong favoring saturated colors and portraits. All the images were taken in 1979, and included among others: Rene Ricard, Patti Astor, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Philip-Lorca diCorcia and David Armstrong himself. A very beautiful book published two years before the photographer’s death.
