In 1971, Max’s Kansas City found itself in financial difficulty because of the taxes that hit it. Its manager Mickey Ruskin decides to organize an auction in order to raise funds to deal with its difficulties. High place then frequented by the avant-gardes of New York (including Andy Warhol), artists decide to donate works to save Max’s Kansas City. Very rare catalog including works by Willem de Kooning, Arman, Roy Lichtenstein, Richard Serra, Marisol, Robert Raushenberg, Andy Warhol, etc.
