Printed just days after the events of May, L’Imagination au pouvoir is one of the best books on student liberation and speech. “This album is intended as a modest contribution and a tribute to the ten days which, from May 3 to 13, shook the French University while waiting to upset society” writes Walter Lewino in the preamble. Its text is beautifully illustrated by all the messages left by the protesters on the walls of Paris and La Sorbonne including the famous « Vivre sans temps mort” « jouir sans entrave”, “CRS SS”, « L’Art est mort, ne consommez pas son cadavre… A true masterpiece on May 68.
