Released at the same time as the film’s theatrical release (May 31, 1995), Jusqu’ici Tout va bien is a very beautiful book reproducing the original screenplay of La Haine and illustrated with numerous photographs of the shoot taken by Gilles Favier. Actors, extras, technical team, anonymous, the reader plunges into the atmosphere of a film not quite like the others, a bit of one of the cultural markers of a generation that experienced its adolescence between the end of the 80s and the mid-1990s. La Haine received the Best Director’s Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the César for Best Film in 1996 and consecrated Mathieu Kassovitz to the rank of important new director.
