The artist’s first book, published in the early 1980s, Jungle Fever is particularly faithful to the spirit and creativity of Jean-Paul Goude. He illustrates his talent through numerous photographs showing his works since his beginnings in the 60s. Above all, Jungle Fever is quite representative of a new state of mind. Beyond the sumptuous photographs of Grace Jones (some of which will be used for the Nightclubbing album which will be released the same year), Jean-Paul Goude sticks to his time: chic eroticism, social photographs and nightclubbing, graffiti, mixture of colors, sometimes some coldness “new wave” or “post-punk”, the artist announces the 80s and the shift into a new cultural period.
