Magnificent catalog published during the exhibition dedicated to Villeglé and Brassaï in June-July 2014 in Paris. Artist apart Villeglé can be considered as a precursor of street art or an art rooted in the urban setting. He is best known for his works composed of torn posters. As for Brassaï, there is no need to introduce him. The catalog includes his main photographs taken from his book Graffiti. A night flâneur, Brassaï had always been fascinated since the 1930s by the messages left on the walls of working-class neighborhoods in Paris. A very beautiful catalog paying homage to visionaries and of which some street artists today say they are influenced.
