At the start of the 1980s, London was not the only center of the British fashion press. This is the view of Brian McKeich, the founder of Instant Whip. A resolutely trendy magazine, this first (unique?) issue highlights current trends: Vivienne Westwood, Malcolm McLaren (and their World’s End boutique), pirate inspiration, and above all the Glasgow Art College Fashion Show. The magazine leaves a lot of room for photography and a post-punk atmosphere. Outstanding quality magazine.
