New Yorker by birth (Bronx), Lisa Leone was one of the great photographers of the hip-hop movement in the 90s. Witness of the great times, she was present during the studio recording of Nas Illmatic, from the shooting of the video clip of “What’s my name” by Snoop Dogg or “Big Poppa” by Notorious Big. In this book, she retraces her journey which led her to meet the whole hip-hop scene of the time, mainly between 1991 and 1994. A superb book on what some consider to be the golden age of rap.
