Gomorrah is also the other name for Camorra, the Neapolitan mafia. This is also the title of this photographic report on the popular district of Scampia in Naples. The book is divided in two: on one side the crime, on the other the social conditions of the inhabitants of Scampia. The story is that of Annalisa Durante, a young 14-year-old girl killed by a stray bullet during a settling of scores. Spada reproduces the pages of the police report and elements of the investigation. The second part focuses on life in Scampia and especially on the girls of Gomorrah. Young women whom poverty and crime make mature before their time. A very beautiful book despite a terrible subject. Book quoted by Parr & Badger [vol.3 p. 136]
