Very rare book by Yan Morvan… since banned and censored because of a cliché (taken in 1987 from a young Nazi sympathizer who refused him the reproduction of his portrait). The book was therefore immediately withdrawn from sale and cannot be found today. We can understand the author’s frustration because this book is quite simply a masterpiece. He compiles nearly 35 years of photographic reports on gangs, from the « blousons noirs » of the 70s to the suburban gangs of the 2000s, to skinheads, skin hunters and Parisian squatters of the 90s (including a certain Guy Georges found in these pages). A fabulous sum of hundreds of shots on areas where few photographers or journalists have had the desire (and the courage) to go. Remarkable in every way.
