Rare poster of the first European festival dedicated to rock punk, organized in the town of Mont-de-Marsan in France (August 21, 1976). This project was the idea of Marc Zermati, one of the most influential figures of the French rock scene in the 70s. On the program of this festival: Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Damned, Richard Hell, Gorilla’s, Bijou… and some animations provided in particular by three people who wrote the legend of French punk: Alain Pacadis, Patrick Eudeline and Yves Adrien (among others). This festival precedes the famous Sex Pistols concert in Paris in September 1976 at the chalet du lac by a few days. The festival will experience a second edition in 1977 with The Clash.
