Perhaps the best French rock fanzine. Published between 1980 and 1988, created by Aline Richard and Patrice Herr Sang in June 1980, New Wave was the zine of the second French punk wave (after that of 1977). Its title is also misleading. It was not the New Wave in Soft Cell or Joy Division style, but a wave of new trends and new rock talent.

On the program of this issue 6 : News from Public image Ltd, the Damned, The Clash (with the release of the album Sandinista!), Edith Nylon, a double page on “the rock that comes from the cold” with Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Pere Ubu, Human League … an interview with the Dogs (group from Rouen) and a last page devoted to Adam and the Ants.
