Great fashion of the second half of the 70s, notably thanks to the film Saturday Night Fever (by John Badam, 1977) and to the soundtrack signed by the Bee Gees, disco was a catalyst and the great spice of nightclubbing. This book is intended to be a fairly comprehensive overview of the phenomenon in the United States and particularly in New York. There are also many photos of the famous clubs: Studio 54, Xenon, The Embassy, as pages devoted to fashion or some explanations on the famous dance steps (“Spanish Hustle”, “The Pole Dance”) and without forgetting some passages on John Travolta or Debbie Harry.
